I feel like a stalker. Whenever I am out and see a girl that I think is about Meghan's age I have to ask, "How old is your daughter?" Am I insane?
I just keep trying to figure out how big Meghan is, what size she will be wearing (I have been estimating and ball parking so far). I want to know what toys she will like, what clothes she will wear.
And when we are at the boys sporting events I picture her running around with all the other little sisters. I KNOW it will be bad tonight when all these little girls dressed as princesses and fairies come knocking at my door!
But only 2 more weeks. I can hold on. We have all of our paperwork done, notarized and ready to go.
Meghan is packed. I know what I'm bringing. The dogs have a reservation at the dog hotel. The kids have enough uniforms to get them through a week. I think we are ready. Very very excited!!!!
I was the same way. Everytime I went shopping I wanted to buy something, but never knew what size to get. I wanted to get her a Halloween costume but wasn't sure if she would be with us by then. It can totally drive you nuts. The worst part is that my daughter's nanny said the clothes I had sent were too small, so I brought bigger sizes and she was drowning in them. Good thing they gave me back all of my clothes and guess what....they fit her perfectly.
ReplyDeleteMe too! Same thing. It's so hard while we wait but you're so close now. Our first care pkg. we sent 2 shirts - one big one medium just to hedge our bets. Our girl wore the "big" one and called it her dress! ;0)
ReplyDeleteSo excited for you guys! I hope you will be able to post from Taiwan...can't wait to hear all about it!
ReplyDeleteI stumbled onto your blog just yesterday. I'm sort of working backwards to catch up. It's so great! Thank you so much! I just have to comment here since we're bringing our little boy home any day now (waiting for travel date!). But I've been eyeballing other little boys, wondering how old they are and if our Evan is about that size. When we go to the cafeteria at Ikea, we sit by the kids' playing area. Yes, I feel like a stalker.
ReplyDeleteI really appreciate what you've posted more recently also. Like dealing with tantrums and the attitudes and the bad days. We're first time parents and I'm feeling apprehensive. But I'm trying to prepare myself. So thank you for keeping it real!
