And now, back to paperwork. I've got a whole bunch of immigration documents, all with a bunch of numbers on them. I need to go sort them out. Tomorrow we are having a conference call with our caseworker to go over the documents and she will help us fill them out. Good news, she told us we did not need taxes or state laws. She said that was only if one parent was traveling.
Also, it doesn't sound like we will be left on our own much in Taiwan. Our agency provides full in-country service. Driver to and from airport, Chung Yi and AIT. Driver is also a translator and takes on us some guided tours. They said we will even experience the subway! They are putting together our itenerary now.
I really did not expect this. I am used to traveling around foreign countries where they speak no English. I actually like it, my adventureous side comes out. But it will be nice to have a local with us. Maybe he/she will take us to less touristy places. Getting excited!
One more picture of my beautiful daughter...
Sounds like fun, the itinerary not the paperwork. And she is BEAUTIFUL!
ReplyDeleteCongrats! You will love Taiwan!!
ReplyDeleteYou will have such a wonderful time in Taiwan, not only because you will be with your daughter, but the country is just amazing. We had a wonderful guide and they took us to out of the way places that we would never have been able to find on our own and we got to sample lots of great food.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Christian! What a cutie!
ReplyDeleteWe get to roam around Taiwan on our own next week. It would be less stressful to have a guide over there.
ReplyDeleteRegarding taxes, I am guessing this is your yearly return? We were told to bring the last 3 years and both of us are traveling.
