Pink!

I think a went a little overboard with the pink but I couldn't help it after 13 years of blues and browns. But I have to tell you that once again God has showed me that he is in charge of this adoption. It's a little thing, but still, another reminder of his timing.

Two weeks ago Meghan's room was painted, empty, with dirty carpet that needed to be replaced. I knew we would be replacing the carpet, I had thought I should do it before the furniture came. I had ordered the furniture in July and although they said it would be here in 4-6 weeks, it still wasn't here and at one point I wondered if the order was actually put through. So last week I ordered new carpet. To my joy they said it would be installed on September 30. Well that's good, at least there would be clean carpet in her room when we skyped on October 1. Then on September 29th the furniture store called and the furniture would be delivered on Friday the 1st. Yea! I could put her room together for her before we skyped! And then the ultimate in God's timing and something that I really did not think would happen, but her little tea party chairs came in, even though I had just ordered them and the store said they would be weeks! None of this really mattered to me, of course I wanted everything to be set up so we could show her her room, but I wasn't stressing about it because I really thought there was no way all would be put together in time.

I know it seems silly and materialistic, but it was really nice to have everything set up to show her. I'm glad I didn't waste my time worrying about it for even a minute, because it turned out that God was taking care of the details. I know, does God really bother with orchestrating furniture delivery, new carpet and tea party chairs? I think He did this time, if only to reinforce to me that YES, HIS timing is perfect.

Your Meghan's room is a fantasy for any little girl, how thrilled she will be, absolutely charming. Just like your baby girl. Very happy for you.
