We left home this morning and stopped at the schools to drop the kids off. Then some last minute instructions to the caretakers and we were off. Oh yeah, and a phone call to our next door neighbor because I did not lock the front door, thinking Tom was still going in and out. He was the last one out but he didn't lock it either. I think Mr. Calm Cool and Collected is a little anxious about this trip because I just stopped him from going into the Ladies Room at the airport.
We got to Atlanta airport around 12:30 because of a detour but still have plenty of time to spare. However with the long drive we didn't want to chance it. We'd rather wait here then have to rush. Security was a breeze. We were expecting the usual hour to get through, it only took about 10 minutes, mostly taking off coats, sweaters and shoes and putting them back on again. Checked in 4 bags all the way through to Taipei. Now we are sitting at a cafe with free WiFi.
We depart for Newark at 5pm. We then depart for Taipei at 10:30 tonight. The kicker is we don't arrive in Taipei until 7am WEDNESDAY morning (Taiwan time). It's Monday afternoon right now. Nice huh?
So, if all goes well I will not be posting again until we reach Taiwan!!
