Thanksgiving at Home

Happy Thanksgiving - a day late. We had a rather scaled down Thanksgiving this year, just returning home, new daughter who is still learning the expectations around here (like sitting down for meals, not getting up and running around the house), and I was pretty sick (still am). But I managed to get a few pictures so here they are. Hopefully tomorrow we will all go out to the beach for a lot more pictures and maybe even a Christmas card photo.

Still working on getting her to smile when I take a picture. She will only pose for pictures with that peace sign that seemingly all the Taiwanese do when they take pictures. How long does that habit take to break?

Christian, Meghan and Griffin.

She loves her biggest brother - Ryan.

  1. It's great to see your boys with their sister. I hope you are feeling better soon...do you think you picked up something in Taiwan? Take care of yourself!

  2. So glad she has a brother she feels an attachment for! That is definitely a s sense of security. Glad you are starting to feel better. I know ALL of Asia does the V sign when photos are taken, that does get a little old! I'm sure it will take quite some time for her to assimilate and learn the new rules and expectations. Many years of living a certain way will take many years to change. She is so blessed to have you all patiently working with her and showing her your love without conditions! Step by step she will learn and grow. :)

  3. Jing-Qi did the peace sign at first in all her pictures when we hosted her last summer. By the end of the trip, I was the one doing the peace sign in the pictures, and she no longer did. Watch out! It's contagious! : )
